HLTA behaviour intervention – impact July 15

The impact of interventions has been undertaken by the use of PPR concerns and PPR progress data. The concerns were looked at regarding the particular concern highlighted for the intervention.
N.B. these pupils were chosen because they had significant difficulties and they have had previous intervention which has not been successful.

Observations:
The impact of the interventions is more noticeable with year 7 and 8 pupils.
The vast majority of pupils had a positive impact following the interventions.
There is impact seen with regards to improving boys behaviour, 72% have had impact.
There is impact seen with regards to PP, 66% have had impact.

Actions:

  • Identify pupils for specific interventions.
  • Choose more year 7 and 8 pupils for intervention.
  • AM to monitor their progress more closely.
  • AM to modify intervention programmes if impact is not seen.
  • Continue to monitor impact.
