PHILIPS HIGH SCHOOL FUN RUN
We are delighted to be able to run our annual Fun Run on Friday 5th July. We will leave school through the main gates and head off to Sedgley Park Rugby club to complete a lap of their pitch before heading back on the opposite side of the path to the Park lane steps. There will be Marshalls present around the course to ensure pupils are safe.
Pupils and staff are encouraged to walk or run the event in a fancy dress outfit or sportswear appropriate to the event. Therefore, no crop tops, sliders etc. There will be prizes for the best fancy dress outfit which will be judged by Miss Schofield and Mr Barlow.
The Fun Run helps to raise money for our charity – The Bury Hospice so a £1 donation for non-uniform/fancy dress on the day will be very much appreciated.
Please can you speak to your child about the behaviour we would demand from our pupils when out on the course as they will be representing Philips High School. We hope our pupils are able to leave a positive impression on our local community.
Year groups will have staggered start times, please see below. Once pupils have returned to school and registered with their Head of Year they will be able to go home.
Timetable
| 1.40 pm | Year 10 set off from the yard and make their way out of the drive towards Sedgley Park. |
| 1.45 pm | Year 9 move from their zone to the yard to appreciate the music before making their way out of school to Sedgley Park. |
| 1.50 pm | Year 7 will move from their zone to the yard to appreciate the music before making their way out of school to Sedgley Park. |
| 1.55 pm | Year 8 move from their zone around school to the yard to appreciate the music before making their way out of school to Sedgley Park. |
