We are delighted to announce that Philips High School has been awarded the Bronze Emotionally Friendly Settings (EFS) Award in recognition of our commitment to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our school community.

The Emotionally Friendly Settings Award celebrates schools that create nurturing, inclusive environments where young people feel safe, supported, and able to thrive both emotionally and academically.

Following the assessment process, the panel praised the many strengths seen across the school, particularly highlighting the wider Emotional Health and Wellbeing offer embedded throughout the curriculum, alongside the dedicated nurture and support provided by our SEN department.

In their feedback, the panel stated:

“The panel were unanimous in their view that Philips High offers the school community a nurturing base and that everyone involved should feel rightfully proud of the work being done.”

This award is a reflection of the hard work, care, and dedication shown every day by staff across the school to ensure all students feel valued, supported, and included.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and would like to thank all staff, students, families, and the wider school community for their continued support in helping Philips High remain a positive and nurturing place to learn and grow.

We look forward to continuing to develop and strengthen our wellbeing provision in the future.
