Thrive Pathway

Pupils in the Thrive pathway will need extra support from staff whilst learning from home; therefore, as a department we have put strategies into place to ensure pupils continue to receive work that is both appropriate for their needs and challenging. The Thrive Curriculum continues to be tailored to meet the learning needs of all pupils, through effective differentiation. In addition, teachers are conducting catch-ups between Teams Lessons and Independent Work submissions to check progress and understanding. Students are also encouraged to communicate questions or lack of understanding through Show My Homework or Microsoft Teams.

Lessons from teachers and work from students is to be monitored by the Head of Thrive, along with the SENCO, to ensure progress is being made and that all pupils are getting the most from their remote learning. Further to this, if we do have any concerns, contact home will be made to discuss next steps in greater detail. As a department, we are continuously evaluating our remote learning experience to meet the needs of Thrive pupils. Any growth in ideas will be updated in the policy.’
