Bury Borough Covid-19 update & Grab a Jab Initiative
14 July 2021

Please find attached the latest issue of the Bury borough Covid-19 update. This also includes a social media pack for the GM Grab a Jab initiative.

“With 126,720 Bury people having had one Covid-19 vaccination, and 95,619 both, the borough is working hard to get all those unvaccinated and eligible to come forward and receive their life-saving jab. With many of those unvaccinated falling into younger age groups, new comms activity is appealing to people aged 18-24 to get their jab sorted so they can enjoy the warmer months with less restrictions and worry. The more people who have the vaccination gets us closer to something like normal. We are also appealing to parents to give their young adults a nudge in the right direction (towards a vaccine clinic!) and making it easier all-round for those looking for first or second vaccinations by putting on more walk-in sessions including evenings and weekends.“

Colleagues are requesting that schools utilise their communication channels with both pupils and parents in order to promote these messages.
